We have been deliberate about where we are investing our benefits dollars. Every dollar going towards a benefit is one that is not flowing directly to staff via salary.  We strive to offer benefits that provide the largest value to you and that adhere to our Founding Principle of Invested:

Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

EdOps offers 3 leaves of medical coverage, covering 90% of the employee-only base reference plan. We also cover 75% of the employee-only Dental plan and 50% of the employee-only Vision plan.

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan

Our 401(k) plan provides staff with a pre-tax way to contribute towards retirement, and we offer a matching contribution of up to 4% of employee salary. The matching contribution fully vests (i.e., becomes available to you) immediately. 

Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts

We offer (and fund the administrative costs) of FSA plans that allow staff to set aside money on a pre-tax basis in order to cover qualifying expenses. EdOps offers a Health Care FSA that can be used for eligible out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses; a Dependent Care FSA for eligible dependent care services; and a Transit FSA for work-related commuting.

HSA's (Health Savings Accounts) are available to employees participating in qualifying health plans. Pre-tax money can be put into a bank account to be used on qualifying Medical/Dental/Vision expenses. The HSA plan does NOT have a use-it-or-lose-it requirement; the funds belong to the employee forever and can be set up as a long-term investment for retirement use. 

Short & Long Term Disability

We pay for both short- and long-term disability coverage that provides you with partial wage replacement if you cannot work.

Life Insurance

We pay for a basic life insurance policy on all full-time staff with a benefit amount of $10,000.

Employee Assistance Program

EdOps provides staff with access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services for personal and/or work-related problems.  The counselors provided through the EAP are trained, licensed professionals who can advise on a wide range of problems — emotional illness, work life issues, relationship or family difficulties, alcohol or other drug abuse, legal or financial difficulties, major life or health changes.

Work From Anywhere & Flexible Hours

As long as employees are completing their work in a timely manner, we maintain a highly flexible approach to where and when your work takes place. We believe this helps staff better manage their lives outside of work.

Flexible Vacation Leave

We have an unlimited vacation policy for our exempt employees where every employee has the flexibility to take planned vacations as needed. We embrace a culture of personal responsibility and mutual trust—our vacation and time-off policy reflects this culture.

Paid Parental Leave

EdOps provides up to eight weeks of paid parental leave following the birth of an employee’s child or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption or foster care. In addition to the leave pay, we strive to offer work flexibility as you return to the workplace.

Cell Phone Reimbursement

We provide $25/payroll to staff for reimbursement of the cost of your cell phone, totaling $600 annually. The idea behind this is not to ensure you are reachable at all hours, but rather to reflect the flexibility offered to work outside of the office and that your phone is a key enabler for that flexibility.
